  2006 Race for Education
  2006 Race for Education
  – Nelnet Marketing Support

With NASFAA 2006 just a few weeks away, Nelnet is once again gearing up to sponsor the third-annual Race for Education. This 5K race/walk has quickly become a highlight of the NASFAA conference, enhancing camaraderie between attendees while also providing financial support to NASFAA-sponsored charities. In an effort to increase support for these worthwhile causes, this year’s event will be open to the public.

Scheduled to be held July 7, participants in the 2006 Race for Education will be raising funds for Treehouse, an agency with a vision to create a place for foster children and community supporters that will dramatically improve the lives of children by establishing a visible source for youth services, programs, and advocacy.

To encourage a record turnout, Nelnet is partnering with Star 101.5, one of Seattle’s most popular radio stations, to create promotional spots for the event. The station will also conduct live remote broadcasts from the event. As a special incentive, Nelnet will cover and match the $20 entry fee for all NASFAA attendees who take part in the event – doubling the charitable financial impact of attendee participation.
