Nelnet Awards $10,000 Scholarship at Circle City Classic

In October 2006, Nelnet awarded a $10,000 scholarship to Ashley Wichman of Clayton, Indiana, winner of the education and planning services company’s scholarship sweepstakes. Wichman was present during the October 7 Circle City Classic football game, held at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. Nelnet Senior Vice President Celeste Lawson-Lindsey was on hand to present a check during a halftime on-field drawing. Kara S. Hawkins and Saraya T. Johnson of Indianapolis were runners-up in the sweepstakes and received a Nelnet gift pack. Indiana high school seniors were eligible for this giveaway.

"I'm really excited,” said Wichman. “Thanks (Nelnet) for being so generous and giving me the opportunity to win $10,000."
